Every child deserves the best start in life. At SupportSquare, we're passionate about providing tailored Early Childhood Early Intervention (ECEI) services that cater to the unique developmental needs of each child. Our goal is to nurture, empower, and guide young children, ensuring they thrive in their early years and beyond.

Early Childhood Early Intervention (ECEI)

Every child's needs are unique, and our Therapeutic Support is tailored to address those individual requirements. Through specialized sessions, we focus on enhancing physical, emotional, and cognitive well-being. Our specialised evidence-based therapies are delivered in a nurturing environment, ensuring children feel safe and supported throughout their journey.

Therapeutic Support

Laying a strong foundation in the early years is crucial for lifelong learning. Our Skill Development sessions are designed to enhance vital skills such as motor abilities, communication, and social interactions. Through engaging activities and personalized plans, we ensure that each child progresses at their own pace, building confidence and capability.

Skill Development

Understanding and managing behaviours is an integral part of a child's development. Our Behavioural Guidance services offer strategies to address challenging behaviours while promoting positive ones. Through consistent guidance and positive reinforcement techniques, we help children navigate their emotions and reactions, fostering a harmonious developmental environment.

Behavioural Guidance

Navigating new environments can be challenging for young children. Our Seamless Transition Assistance ensures that children move smoothly between developmental stages or into educational settings. We collaborate with families, schools, and other institutions, providing the necessary guidance and support to make transitions comfortable and positive for the child.

NDIS FAQs

  • The NDIS, or National Disability Insurance Scheme, is an initiative by the Australian government designed to provide support to Australians with a disability, their families, and carers. It represents a new way of delivering services and support for people with permanent and significant disability in Australia. The NDIS takes a lifetime approach, investing in people with disability early to improve their outcomes later in life.

  • Eligibility for the NDIS depends on several factors:

Age: You must be under 65 years of age and over the age of 9 when you first access the scheme.

Residency: You must be an Australian citizen, and hold a Permanent Visa, or a Protected Special Category Visa.

Disability Requirement: You must have a permanent disability that significantly affects your ability to take part in everyday activities, or have a developmental delay.

It's worth noting that the specific criteria can be more detailed, and it's best to consult the NDIS directly or use their NDIS Access Checklist to determine eligibility.

  • Check Eligibility: The first step is to check if you meet the criteria using the NDIS Access Checklist.

Make an Access Request: If you meet the criteria, you can then make an Access Request. This involves providing information about yourself and your disability.

Planning Meeting: Once accepted, you'll have a planning meeting with an NDIS representative to discuss your needs and goals.

Receiving Your Plan: After your meeting, you'll receive your NDIS plan which outlines the funding and support you've been approved for.

Start Your Supports: With your plan in hand, you can then start accessing services and support from providers like SupportSquare.

Review: Your plan will be reviewed periodically to ensure it continues to meet your needs.

  • The NDIS is unique in several ways:

Person-Centric: The NDIS is designed to empower individuals with disabilities by giving them choices and control over their support.

Lifetime Approach: Instead of short-term interventions, the NDIS invests in people early on, aiming for better long-term outcomes.

Individualized Plans: Each participant has a plan tailored to their individual needs and goals.

Funding: The NDIS provides funding directly to individuals, allowing them to choose the providers they want.

Scope: The NDIS is a national scheme, aiming to provide consistent support across all states and territories in Australia.

While other disability support programs might focus on specific interventions or have a narrower scope, the NDIS is comprehensive, aiming to address all the needs of individuals with disabilities throughout their lives.
